Clockwise. Long straight sections to the north cropped because they’re boring and you don’t need to know where exactly I live.

For the first time in far too long, I was able to spend most of the day (well, about 4 hours) out for a drive. About an hour from home to the start (Lisbon above), an hour between there and Leesville on a pretty good road, almost entirely 55mph limit twisting through woods and farms, with a couple spots dropping to 35 to go through small towns. About half an hour back to the highway on decently-fun roads (and a few miles of gravel) and an hour back on the interstate.

At some point, maybe later this summer, I’d like to get some friends together and spend a weekend in this area and a bit further south, as it seems to be where the roads actually start to get interesting without being too far out . As it was, this was a good day trip. If I go again, I might leave a little more time and turn around in Leesville and go back the way I came.

The RX7 enjoyed the drive as well, doing what it’s meant to do. Somewhere in the middle there was a section of road doing a pretty good Laguna Seca Corkscrew impression, I’ll have to see if I can find it from the da sh cam footage.

Nice drive! You should dip a little south at Leesville and drive along tappan lake next time, if you’ve never been. There’s a nice stretch of road that curves around the water for a few miles. I used to date a girl from the Akron/Canton area & would always take the back roads back home to PA. I76 gets old quick

That does look like a good route, I will keep it in mind, thanks!

How is that Lisbon to Leesville route? I found out about it recently and I’m thinking about taking my bike down there

Is the 555 somewhere close by? I've been meaning to go there and nearby...

If you’re within a couple hours I’d say go for it. It’s not like crazy-good come-from-all-over to drive it, but it’s a nice stretch of road, especially for around here.

Maybe I’ll just take my car, I’m in Sh aker heights which is 1.5-2 hours away. I’ve gotten tired of all 2 good roads in Cleveland...

I’ve not been on 555 but looking it up, it’s considerably further south and a bit more to the west from the above.

You found 2 good roads in Cleveland? That’s two more than I’ve been able to find!
